LYNNWOOD - The EdCC men's soccer team played visiting Whatcom to a 0-0 draw Saturday at Triton Field. The tie insures the Tritons (7-7-3, 7-3-2) can finish no lower than second in the NWAC North standings.

The Tritons are currently atop the North standings with 23 points, one point ahead of Skagit Valley (9-5-1, 7-4-1). The North championship comes down to the final regular season game of the year this coming Saturday at Skagit Valley. In order to win its third North title in four years, Edmonds needs a win or a tie in Mount Vernon. A Cardinal victory on Saturday gives SVC the North title for the second-straight season.

Both teams had its chances Saturday, but neither were able to finish. Making five saves for Edmonds was freshman keeper Cristhian Robles, while Orca keeper Andrew Wildfong turned back three EdCC shots.

Edmonds honored its sophomores at half time: Arturo Oberto, Carlos Videla, Reese Knudsen, Kevin Carroll, Nathan White, JJ Schmeck, Miguel Medina, Jose Aquiniga, Topher Mitalas, Evan Zhang, Mike Curry, Obi Esuno, Kobi Nuss and manager Chris Guardiano. Thanks to all for your hard work and dedication to the EdCC men's soccer program!

EdCC versus SVC game will begin at 7:15 pm on the campus of Skagit Valley College.
