KENT - The EdCC women's soccer team snapped a 3-game losing skid by beating Green River CC 3-0 Saturday at the Wilson Playfields. The Tritons improved to 7-4-1 overall, 5-4-1 in league. The team's 16 points has them third in the North standings, three ahead of Whatcom.

The match was the fourth road tilt in a row for EdCC.

Three different players scored for Edmonds against the Gators Saturday evening. The first goal was Lexie Gray to Olivia Olason in the 17th minute.

Olason's shot would be the only goal that EdCC needed against the Gators, but Lauren Rodger scored in the 52nd minute and Keana King scored in the 69th minute. Assists went to Claudia Brasino and Gray.

Earning the shut out was sophomore Alecia Longsine. She recorded four saves.  Her counterpart, Molly Lambert had 10 saves, preventing a would-be blowout.

Green River fell to 6-6, 4-6 league and slipped into fourth place.

The Tritons travel to Whatcom (4-7-1, 4-5-1) on Wednesday for a huge match with the Orcas that starts at 3 pm. EdCC returns to Triton Field for the first time in three weeks on Saturday with a noon game against Skagit Valley.
