Tritons Fall in Three at Everett CC

Carly Sims led EdCC with 11 kills

EVERETT – Edmonds CC fell in three tough sets (27-25, 25-20, 25-22) at Everett CC Wednesday night despite double-digit kills from both Carly Sims and Gabi Mahler. The loss drops EdCC to 2-25 overall, 1-9 in NWAC North action. Everett improved to 21-13, 6-4.

The match, though decided in three, was a tough one, with Edmonds pushing Everett the entire time. The first set went into extra points before the Trojans wrapped up the 2-point win. EvCC went on to take sets two and three.

Sims led the Tritons with 11 kills on 22 attempts and also registered 7 digs. Mahler contributed 10 winners and 3 digs. Mariah Martin and Delaney Watson split the setting duties, with 15 and 13 assists respectively.  Carly Reese led Edmonds with 9 digs and also had 4 assists.

Leading all players with 15 kills was Everett’s Natalia Sulantay.

The Tritons will return home Friday to host Bellevue after playing 12 games away from Seaview Gym. Friday’s contest starts at 7 pm as does the regular season finale on November 11 against Olympic College.
