LYNNWOOD – The EdCC softball team swept visiting Big Bend in
a non-league twinbill at Triton Field Tuesday, 5-4 and 7-3. With the two
triumphs the Tritons snap a three-game skid and improve to 5-3 overall.
Things were looking bad for Edmonds in the opener after the
Vikings took a 4-0 lead, scoring twice in both the fourth and sixth innings.
The Tritons responded with a 5-run home half of the sixth, however. Kamryn Kanae got the offense going by smashing a solo homer to left field. Tia Hedman walked with pinch runner Kelsey Quibilan swiping second base. Bailee Senner followed with a RBI triple and was driven home by a single from Clara Inovejas.
