LYNNWOOD - Edmonds CC, the NWAC's No. 2-ranked men's basketball team, defeated visiting Everett CC 88-62 Wednesday night in Seaview Gym and improved to 14-3 overall, 2-0 in North League play. The victory was the seventh-straight for EdCC.

Everett (10-7, 1-1) went ahead 7-3 but an 8-0 EdCC run erased the deficit and put the home team in front for good. The Tritons led by 10 points less than eight minutes into the contest and entered the half up 50-31.

The second half saw EvCC nearly close the gap to single digits but Edmonds eventually went up by as much as 26 points, which was the final margin of victory.

The Tritons shot 41 percent, compared to just 28 percent from Everett and pulled down 52 rebounds to 45 from the Trojans.

Charlie Smith and Devin Stoen did most of the offensive work for the Tritons, scoring 22 and 19 points respectively. Smith added eight rebounds. Zach Pederson contributed 14 points and seven rebounds with Sam Omondi scoring 10 points in the win.

Just two Trojans: Dominque McClendon (16) and Luke DuChesne (12) reached double-digits in points.
