AUBURN -- The EdCC women's basketball team was defeated by Treasure Valley 79-55 Thursday afternoon at the Green River Crossover. Though Tritons lost, they played much better against the Chukars than they on December 6, when the result was a 101-39 loss.
TVCC (6-4) entered the break Thursday with a 54-31 lead but Edmonds played the Chukars close in the second stanza and were outscored by just one point, 25-24.
Edmonds shot 42 percent from the field led by 19 points from Asiyah Davis. Shaleea Butler added 10 points with Mariah Martin contributing 9 points.
Three Chukars scored in double-figures led by Heather Waldemar's 15.
The Tritons (1-6) will take on host Green River (3-6) at noon Friday. GRCC fell to Portland 83-75 on Thursday. The loser of that contest is eliminated from the tournament while the winner advances to Saturday's noon consolation game.
