Men's Soccer Battles but Edged at PC

box score

PORT ANGELES -- The Tritons played extremely well at No. 1-ranked Peninsula College on Wednesday but a goal by the Pirates in minute 7 would be enough, the Tritons falling 1-0

The lone score of the game was by Caio Maciel with Victor Sanchez on the assist.

Both keepers prevented any further finishes, EdCC's Arturo Oberto saving five shots and PC's Aaron Zavolokin saving four tries.

The Tritons fell to 3-5-1 overall, 3-2 in league, which has the team sitting second in the North standings.

Peninsula, the two-time defending league champs out of the NWAC West, are now 8-0, 6-0 league.

Edmonds travels to Everett on Saturday for a 2:15 pm game at Kasch Park. The Trojans are 2-3-2 overall, 1-3-1 in league play. Saturday's tilt marks the start of North play for both squads.
