LYNNWOOD - Edmonds CC picked up its first win of the year Thursday night at Triton Field by beating Olympic College 3-1. The league triumph puts EdCC's record at 1-3 overall, 1-1 in league play.

The Tritons looked sharp against the visiting Rangers (1-3-2, 0-3-1). It didn't take long for EdCC to get on the board thanks to a Miguel Medina goal in the 11th minute of play. The score was assisted by Nathan White.

Edmonds took a 2-0 lead in the 27th minute when JJ Schmeck took a pass from Kevin Carroll and shot the ball in from the top of the box. The Tritons entered the half with a 3-0 advantage after a Cristhian Robles to Sergey Ptachik score.

The Tritons emptied their bench and created more scoring opportunities but the Rangers would hold them off for the remainder of the game. OC scored its lone goal in the 82nd minute.

Arturo Oberto saved six shots with Olympic's Robin Potts registering 8 saves.

Edmonds will take the weekend off before traveling to Walla Walla and North Idaho for matches on Monday and Tuesday.
